SCA Sensory to Cup

The course thoroughly introduces all the factors related to the quality of a cup of coffee throughout the process from farm, roaster to bar. Students both study and practice the corresponding theoretical content at the same time to have the most intuitive feeling. The course is a series of carefully designed experiences, helping students gain knowledge about ingredients and coffee tasting skills in a systematic way.

Coffee cupping is an art, a very interesting and promising skill in the coffee industry.

BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SENSORY

  • Taste: Practice tasting and recognizing, distinguishing, and comparing basic tastes
  • Olfactory: Structure and operating principles of the olfactory system

Practice tasting some familiar dishes
Get familiar with basic coffee cupping applications

Students who fully participate and complete the tests receive "D'codeS Certificate"

PCA Certificate in Barista Skills, Level 1 (*Free until the end of June 2024) *Students take a practice test and theory test in class
